Designed by the award-winning Robert A.M Stern Architects, 150 East 78th Street expresses an architectural language steeped in classicism. Limestone, brick, metal and glass work in concert to create a beautiful composition. The richness of the materiality is enhanced by specific details including double-height arched windows, voussoir brickwork and french balconies. Multiple levels of amenities are thoughtfully programmed to embrace a contemporary lifestyle.
150 East 78th Street features interiors by AD100 designer Robert Couturier. Paris-born and a resident of the Upper East Side for years, Mr. Couturier is ideally suited to craft the residential and amenity interiors. As Couturier’s first fully-commissioned residential building, the residences at 150 East 78th Street offer masterful details that evoke the building’s architecture and location. Each residence features a kitchen collaboration by Couturier and master kitchen designer, Christopher Peacock.
The five-fixture bathroom is clad in honed Bianco Crisium and Bardiglio Nuvoletto stone and features a soaking tub, steam shower, Lefroy Brooks fixtures and a separate TOTO water closet.
150 East 78th Street kitchens feature Sub-Zero refrigeration and wine storage, Miele speed oven, oven and warming drawer and a Lacanche gas range in anthracite.
Custom chrome knobs and pulls designed by Robert Couturier complement the honed Statuarietto stone counter, backsplash and island.
